Federal Legislators plus State Officials from the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas along with industry representatives have been invited to speak or participate on panel discussions. You will learn about plans and progress to four-lane U.S. Highway 54 from Wichita, Kansas to El Paso, Texas.
Time will be spent discussing Federal and State funding for construction in the future.
Enjoy informed speakers, good food and entertainment and renew old friendships.

                    Chamber Of Commerce Director. 
                    Video welcome from Bill Graves, former Kansas Governor, 
                    now CEO of National Truckers Associations.

8:45 a.m.     Keynote address by Steve Hewitt, City Manager of Greensburg,                     KS
                    Update on re-construction of the city and plans for new four-                    lane U.S. Highway 54 through Greensburg.
9:15 a.m.        Break
9:30 a.m.     Panel discussion highlighting the benefits of a four-lane highway                     for area economic development efforts. 
10:30 a.m.     Address by Oklahoma State Representative Gus Blackwell.
11.00a.m.     Break
11:15 a.m.     Reports from D.O.T. representatives on the future construction                     plans for upgrading to U.S. Highway 54 to four-lanes in the                     four states.

Noon         Bar-b-que lunch in the midst of the airplanes in the museum. 
                 Featured Speaker: (U.S. Congressman Jerry Moran has been                 invited).
                "Federal transportation funding for 2009 - and in the future."
1:30 p.m.  Presentation by Mike Crow with Kansas Asphalt Pavers Assoc.                 (formerly with KDOT for over 20 years) explaining biding for and                 constructing highways while dealing with escalating costs.
